Project Overview

This project is a professional Power BI dashboard designed to monitor and analyze site visit activities across multiple projects and provinces. It centralizes data on planned, completed, and cancelled visits into a single interactive reporting environment. The dashboard enables users to filter data dynamically by province, district, project, visit status, reporting type, and time period. It provides clear visibility into operational performance and field monitoring efficiency. Data is cleaned and transformed using Power Query to ensure consistency and reliability.

A structured data model supports relationships between projects, locations, and monitoring activities. DAX measures are used to calculate key metrics such as completion rates and monthly trends. The dashboard includes geographic mapping and time-based analysis for deeper insights. Gender-disaggregated visuals enhance reporting by highlighting inclusivity and representation. Overall, the solution supports data-driven decision-making, improves transparency, and strengthens program monitoring.

Key Features

  • Interactive dashboard with dynamic slicers (Province, District, Project, Status, Reporting Type, Time Period)
  • KPI cards for Completed, Cancelled, and Planned Visits
  • Monthly monitoring trends with toggle between column and line visualization
  • Geographic analysis using province-level map visualization
  • Gender disaggregation for respondents and monitoring staff
  • Entity-level monitoring segmentation (Energy, Water, Government, etc.)
  • Plan vs. actual performance tracking
  • Clean, professional UI design with intuitive navigation

Tools and Technologies Used

This dashboard was developed using Microsoft Power BI, utilizing Power Query for data cleaning, transformation, and shaping. Data modeling techniques were applied to structure relationships between datasets, while DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) was used to create key measures for monitoring performance, trends, and aggregations. The dashboard incorporates advanced visualization features, including interactive maps, KPI cards, slicers, and dynamic charts, designed with a strong focus on usability and analytical clarity.

Results and Outcomes

The dashboard enabled real-time monitoring of field activities, providing clear visibility into visit completion rates, cancellations, and planning gaps. It improved the ability to track project performance across different regions and time periods, while also highlighting operational inefficiencies and trends. The integration of gender-disaggregated insights enhanced reporting quality and inclusiveness. Overall, the solution strengthened decision-making by delivering actionable insights in a clear and visually intuitive format.

Role and Responsibilities

I designed and developed the entire dashboard, including data transformation, modeling, and visualization. My responsibilities included cleaning and structuring raw site visit data using Power Query, building the data model, and creating DAX measures for KPIs and trend analysis. I developed all dashboard visuals, ensuring they are interactive, user-friendly, and aligned with stakeholder requirements. Additionally, I optimized the dashboard for performance and usability, while maintaining data integrity and ensuring compliance with data privacy standards.
